“Craig and I rarely get to see one another.”
As most probably already know, Craig and I rarely get to see one another. We both lead hectic lives and can only make time to see one another a couple of times in a month. This can be difficult, probably for Craig more than myself. He is a romantic and our current relationship isn’t his ideal.
“When you lead these lives, you tend to take it out on the person closest to you – which we do.”
My life is quite stressful, I am living a busy London life – constantly on the go, which makes me tired and cranky. Craig works two jobs and rarely sleeps. When you lead these lives, you tend to take it out on the person closest to you – which we do.
Currently, we’re pretending we’re affluent and flying Business Class to Prague. M&S finger sandwiches and wine displayed creativity on our luxury fold-out tables, our legs spread with a comfortable amount of leg room. Couldn’t possibly afford this normally, aren’t Avios points great?
“I’ve just been sat here staring at him, simply taking in just how lucky I am to have him in my life.”
When you’re constantly on the go, as soon as you take some down time, the tiredness really hits. You instantly become sick and generally feel fatigued. But it is such a luxury to be able to spend this next week with him. I’ve just been sat here staring at him, thinking how lucky I am to have him in my life. Even as he is hunched forward, snoring and dribbling. What a hunk!
He isn’t perfect, he’s made his mistakes and I’ve made mine, but it’s love. He makes me laugh and I adore his confidence. We’re sat with a bunch of upper-class snobs with their designer bags and expensive attire, whilst Craig is sat with a stained white t-shirt (he always drops something down himself), terrible tattoos on display and hasn’t a care in the world, I love him for that.
“I think this makes Craig remember why he pursued me two years ago.”
When I’m on holiday, I can really relax and have some fun. I think this makes Craig remember why he pursued me two years ago. I am a loveable person, and not the stressed out bitch I’ve become since we first met.
We have so much planned for this trip, restaurants, museums (this is on Craig’s list, certainly isn’t on mine!), Prague’s zoo, of course, I’ll be sharing this with you guys on my Instagram. I can’t wait to reconnect with him. So here’s to having a new adventure in a city we haven’t visited before, eating good food and drinking great wine and champagne. We’ll worry about our bank balances and work once we arrive home.
“The moral of this story? Remember to love.”
We’re now landing in Prague, so I had better wrap this up. The moral of this story? Remember to love. Show your person how much you appreciate them and make time for one another. I can’t wait to spend time with Craig, reconnect and have some fun. Have a great week everybody.
