Sunday Night Ritual

Sunday is my favourite day of the week. Sundays are the ultimate lazy days where you can pamper yourself. For me, I like to spend my Sunday’s  brunching with friends, long walks, movies on the couch with Craig and pampering. It is my “me” time, before going back to work for the week. I prepare my skin for the busy week ahead and wash off the stresses from the week before. Complete relaxation.

“A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.”

I love to beautify myself. Treating your skin, to me, is important. My skincare regime is nothing less than high maintenance. I could never be one of those people that just use any random moisturiser, or, go to sleep without washing their face. Having had severe acne growing up, it forced me to take care of my skin, and rightfully so. I thought I would share my Sunday relaxation rituals to get me ready for the hectic week ahead!

Honey and Baking Soda Mask:

I came across this face-mask and it was described as being great for acne and scarring. Meaning, it could aid my acne riddled skin.

Why Honey?

Honey is rich in glycolic acids. This acids can be found in expensive face creams and that have the ability to remove past sun damage and scarring. It can brighten the skin, obtain the skins natural moisture and tighten your pores.

Why Baking Soda?

Baking Soda acts as an exfoliant. It loosens tough skin surrounding your blackheads and soothes inflammation around your spots.

Directions:

Put two teaspoons of baking soda into a bowel and one tablespoon of (natural is the best) honey. Mix the two together, if the outcome is excessively thick, add a very small amount of water. Many recommend leaving the mask on for 15 minutes, Normally, I’ll leave it on for 10, due to having sensitive skin. Wash off with warm water, then splash cold water onto your skin, this closes your pores. Then, marvel at your glow!

“Be good to your skin. You’ll wear it every day for the rest of your life…”

The Ordinary 10-minute peel:

Due to having sensitive skin, I was hesitant to try this product. This product is not as harsh as the description makes it sound, I haven’t experienced any negative effects. This product is great fun, I love how it makes you look like you have been involved in a serious accident. It is easy to apply. The peel exfoliates the skin’s surface to accomplish a brighter and even appearance. I have noticed my skin is brighter, softer and my acne looks a lot less severe. It leaves my skin feeling fresh.

Boots Eye Patches:

I lead a hectic and busy life. This has has a negative effect on my undereyes. With pale skin, you can really see the dark circles. I use these to aid in reducing my dark circles and the uneven tone around my eyes. The patches contain sunflower seed oil and vitamins A&E. These help the undereye area appear lighter, feel firmer and increase your skin elasticity. I love how energised the skin under my eyes looks and feels after wearing these patches. You wear the patches for 30 minutes, they’re simple to apply, and, they are hassle free, you can easily watch your Sunday night TV, whilst wearing.

Have A Beautiful Sunday…
